Vicki is 17

Her Daddy has always adored her and just completly melted holding her for the first time!!! She has always been his Pooh.  She had a wild head of curls when she was little and we called her our 'Poodle on Steroids' because she just NEVER stopped and required no naps!  No wonder she is the first to go to bed now! She wore herself out as a toddler! She is probably the only teenager i know who turns her phone off by 9 pm to crash on school nights.

Victoria started dance classes as 3 and loved her Ballet, Tap, and Jazz classes over the years.  I'll never forget her coming down the stairs in Kindergarten delivering us our Valentine Card before leaving for school! She was quite the beautiful Okinawa Girl!  She loved every moment of living on that island and never let being an American or not speaking the language hinder her in the slightest! She figured out how to work everything! She was calling and texting on her cell phone with no english directions in zero time flat and earned money to buy her soft phone cards to keep her phone running!  she even figured out how the Okinawan's saved money on their phone plans by paying a certain fee each month for unlimited texting!!!
She has always been fun to photograph!

One of my favorites of her on the beach on a cool Fall day.....Vicki with Ryan and Ty on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor Hawaii, sticky pictures with me, and a cute photo of her in her cammie skirt with her Daddy who came straight from work to be at her Great to be Eight night.

Ajaye turned his paper route over to Vicki when their family PCS'd a year before us.  she was happy about making the money.....but NOT thrilled with the work! Vicki with her besties in the neighborhood at the Okinawa Beach Tower Spa, living in beanies when the temps dropped below 80-that was considered cold on Okinawa, Vixster was wearing a sock bun back when you used a SOCK and waaaaay before it became a fashion statement! A female Marine lived next to us and she would do Vicki's hair early in the morning before she left for work until Vicki learned how to do it herself, fun poses at the wax muesem in LA, and of course this one of a kind girl played TACKLE FOOTBALL her freshman year for rec and was the only girl! She played hard and was quite impressive with her dedication and no fear attitude!

Vicki had figured out where the sticky machines were and how to operate them far before i even knew they existed!  I loved having her with me as she knew how to navigate thru the Konji as NOTHING was in English!!! She and her friends had fun doing Sticky Pixs and there was always a cute one on her phone!

Vicki and her Dad playing one of the games at an Arcade in an Okinawa Mall, Vicki and i at the Spa, asilly Vicki face at the beach in So Cal during Christmas Break in 2011, and coming out of the movies one night on New River to see it had snowed for the last couple of hours while we were watching Avatar in February 2010. During the movie her phone had been blowing up with everyone saying it was snowing, we had thought it was just little snowflakes, we were quite surprised to to see several inches had fallen!  The Marines who came out of the theater of course had a spontanious snowball fight that we all watched and laughed with them as we headed to the jeep.  Thank goodness i drove a Jeep Commander as i am not a snow driver, especially after having just come back from 6 years living on a tropical island!!!

It has been a fun 17 years with this crazy girl! I blew up her wall on Facebook with all these collages of random moments in time over the last 17 years.  She was busy at Disneyland having a fantabulous time! I still can't beleive she is 17 and done with High School!!! Her childhood flew by in a flash! I'm so glad we played hard and i was able to be home when she was little and not have to work.  I worked part time until she was 18 months, Monday thru Friday 9am until noon.  Than i was able to stay home with her until she was in 5th grade and i began working as a TI for her school, so i got to walk to and from school with her and her little brothers and only worked when she was at school.  When she went into 6th grade i was moved to the High School, so we walked out the door together but she walked straight to Zukeran which we could see from our house and i turned left on our walkway and crossed the street to Kubasaki High School which we could also see from our house! I am sooo glad i was able to spend sooo much time with her during her childhood. She has been gone all summer at her Aunt Wendy's and she calls me atleast 10 times a day and who knows how many texts!!!  I'm glad she loves me because i love that crazy girl more than she will EVER know!!!
