Beached Out

When i woke up the boys on our last Saturday before Ryan's football games take over our Saturdays i told them we were going to be outside all day by the water and gave them their choices.  They both said, "No BEACH!!!!"  I said, "What?!!!" They both said, "we are beached out!"  I asked, "who gets beached out?!!! You can't possibly be related to me!!!" They laughed and said they wanted to go to the pool and they wanted to go to the outside New River pool.  Soooo, we spent our last FREE Saturday enjoying the pool that we had almost to ourselves on a beautiful, gorgeous last day of August.  Ryan was having fun swimming under my feet and tickling them and i was laughing reminding him of what happened to his front teeth back in December 2006 when he tickled Jorden's feet when he was sleeping!!! After the pool we went home and showered and than headed to Camp Lejeune for the 6:30 pm showing of R.I.P.D.  But first we stopped at the PX and the boys had their favorite dinner at Panda Express of Orange Chicken and Ty with noodles and Ryan with rice. I didn't bother to order anything as i knew i would get some of theirs and i wasn't very hungry.  Sure enough, they both couldn't finish.  The movie was hilarious!!! We loved it! On the way home we picked up a doughnut for Ryan for breakfast, Ty didn't want one and than we stopped at Sonic and i got each of the boys a milkshake.  We are going to enjoy every last minute of this long weekend!

My Brain

The picture says it all.....

Last Summer Vacation Breakfast

We decided to go out for breakfast on our last day of Summer Vacation and The Dude NOT in Cammies last breakfast in America.  He chose Cracker Barell.  YUM!!! I was teasing him on the way there if he wanted to get a breakfast sandwich somewhere because he says they don't give enough food.  He said no......

Sitting in the rocking chairs.....

The boys played checkers while we waited for our breakfasts to be cooked.....Ryan in deep thought....
Ty feeling pretty confident in beating his dad.....or atleast giving him a more challenging partner than Ryan!
Yes, we all have to see how smart we are!  Ty is perty smart and i was just plain DUMB each time i tried!! I want a pretty pony tail like Vicki's.....
Ed ordered the smallest breakfast there was so when our waitress got to me i ordered one of their biggest breakfasts!!!  Yep, i only ended up eating my eggs, hashbrown caserole, one piece of bacon, and one bisquit!!!  Ed ate the grits, apples, ham, sausage, and other bisquit and gravy!!!  I knew he was hungry!!! He needs to stop thinking he is FAT!!!!

LOVE makes life complete!!!!

Ty Made the Team!!!

The list was posted today on who made the Trexler Football Team and Ty was on it!!! He was happy and The Dude in Cammies was beyond thrilled! When he was talking to Ty and telling him how proud he was of him his voice cracked and I think I saw a tiny tear fall!!! Ty said, "Dad? Are you crying?!!! That's the first time I've ever seen any emotion come out of you!!!" It was sooo cute!!! So we have Ryan playing for The Falcons on New River and Ty is a Falcon for his middle school! Gonna be a busy Fall full of football games!!!!

Classes Posted

It is like really wired to only have 2 kids in school and both are at the same school AND I have nobody in High School this year!!! First time in 8 years!! First time in forever that I have kids only in one school!!!! Ty's schedule was just fine and Ryan's schedule had him listed for Band which he doesn't want and didn't sign up for and so we got that taken care of. He will find out on his first day of school what it got switched out to. Ryan is a little nervous about taking Spanish but all in all he is fine with his schedule. Ty likes his schedule and their home rooms are just a few doors apart!!! I like that :)

Ryan Gets His Gear

Ryan got fitted for his pads and helmet today before practice. Ty decided to try on Ryan's gear while he was getting his helmet fitted!

The first helmet was a little small and we had fun getting it off! Not!!! Ryan had red marks on both sides of his face! Lol

What We Do at Ryan's Practice

I refreshed my memory on which Hawaiian Host macadamia nuts were best while Ed and Ty played catch and watched Ryan. It started to rain and so Ed and Ty joined me in the car and began wrestling over beef jerky and M&M's! It was crazy!!! Including faces in arm pits!!!

Boys Watching Pre-Season

It was so cute to watch Ty and Ed watching the Panthers/Falcons Pre-season game. They were talking about different teams and positions and players and plays......and Ed was able to answer all of Ty's football questions!!!! Loved listening to all their conversations!!! Ty is also saving coins in jars for someday when he moved out, can't wait to find out how much he saves over the next 5 years!!!! ;)

Roof Top Ahhhhhh.....

It was awesome begining and ending each day up on the roof in the jacuzzi! Soo relaxing up there. I taught Ryan how to 'Moon Bathe'  He thought that was pretty funny while we watched everything going on below. We had the roof top to ourselves everytime but one evening.

Tourist Shot in Beverly Hills

I wanted to do a picture at the Beverly Hills Park in front of the sign.  The boys didn't, but Ryan offered to get out of the car and take a picture of me.  Ed pulled up and Ryan and i jumped out.  Next thing i know Ed and Ty are with us.  He had found a parking spot right there and so i got to have my favorite person in the picture with me!!!

Millions of Milkshakes

Earlier this summer Vicki had texted me saying she was down in Beverly Hills at Millions of Milkshakes and that it was really yummy!  Soooo, after the Santa Monica Prominade we headed over there and all got milkshakes, except Ed, he apparently did not want one, but asked to taste mine.  I forgot mine had reeses peanut butter cups in it, but he noticed on the first sip and asked if there was peanut butter in it.  OOOOOPS!!!! Im really not trying to kill my hunny bunny!!!  Thank goodness he didn't have enough to have a reaction to it, just the glare face at me!!!  The straws were huge!!!  Like FAT huge!  Awesome for drinking a milkshake with lots of stuff blended in it!  Ty and i thought Ryan had taken a couple straws until we went to get our straw.

All of us sitting outside drinking our shakes and Ed with his water bottle because he thinks he is fat!!!!

Yes, it is VERY good!!!

Ty being kind and posing for me with his milkshake, he didn't want to....

Ed pulling a Vicki Pose!!!

Islands For Lunch

I got to pick where we ate for lunch and so i chose Islands!!!  One of my very favorite places to eat!!! I had the same thing i have had for over 2 decades, The Wedge.  It's a bacon, lettuce, tomatoe, avocado, and cheese sandwich and is delicious!!!  I hadn't had one in sooo long that i forgot it came with cheese and thought the waitress had brought me the wrong sandwich! Vicki wasn't hungry so she just snacked on our french fries, Ty had the chicken tenders, and Ryan and Ed both had yummy burgers.  Ryan was VERY happy having his two favorite things; a Cheeseburger with a rootbeer! Ed told the kids about the first time i took him to Islands in Oceanside on a date. He told them how i had sucked up some soda in my straw and shot it right into his unsuspecting forhead! Ryan said, "yep, Mom is always full of surprises..." Ed said, "yep....always surprises.." He still asked me to marry him knowing exactly what he was getting himself into! It was vallet parking. The boys had fun climbing a wall while we waited for our car. It was a pefect lunch at one of my favorite spots with my favorite peeps!

Bella The Race Horse

Ed hates Bella because she is a small dog.  I love her.....so i bought her a saddle and a rider and told Ed she was now a horse! But now i can never get a non blurry shot of her as she runs at mock speeds around the house!!!  I think SHE thinks she is a Race Horse!!!  Orrrrrrr......maybe she is just freaked out about the crazy chick on her back!

Birthday at Disneyland

When we lived in California this girl made it to Disneyland about 3 times a year.....we haven't lived in California since 2003, so she has missed The Happiest Place on Earth over the last decade! It was the perfect place for her to celebrate her 17th birthday!
She was sooo excited to see The Little Mermaid one year, than got all scared and shy when she went up to meet her! That wouldn't happen today!!!

Last time Vicki was at Disneyland was the end of 2011.  We went with Ed's Mom, sister Wendy, and her son Nolan.  We had a fabulous December day!

Vicki's favorite ride kept breaking down this trip

Vicki and Wendy, wouldn't know they were related!!!

It was snowing after the parade.....gotta love Disneyland in December!

Fixing Shorts

The Dude in Cammies came home about 20 pounds lighter than when he left last November.....all of his shorts were falling off of him.....his smaller shorts were all missing buttons.....i had no buttons that size.....sooooo, we pulled off some buttons from some jungle cammies in his closet.  Than another dilema happened!  I only had one needle because i do NOT sew!!!  I use this ONE needle to remove splinters! This ONE needle had a SUPER small eye that my thread was too big for.....Than a thought occured to me, DENTAL FLOSS!!!  It worked perfectly and if there EVER happens to be a shortage of dental floss i will have an emergency stash in his shorts drawer!  This girl has gotta have her floss!!!

Yep, he doesn't call me The Homewrecker fro nothing.....maybe someday i will advance to Home Godess....but that is about as likely to happen as me earning my E!!!!

Vicki is 17

Her Daddy has always adored her and just completly melted holding her for the first time!!! She has always been his Pooh.  She had a wild head of curls when she was little and we called her our 'Poodle on Steroids' because she just NEVER stopped and required no naps!  No wonder she is the first to go to bed now! She wore herself out as a toddler! She is probably the only teenager i know who turns her phone off by 9 pm to crash on school nights.

Victoria started dance classes as 3 and loved her Ballet, Tap, and Jazz classes over the years.  I'll never forget her coming down the stairs in Kindergarten delivering us our Valentine Card before leaving for school! She was quite the beautiful Okinawa Girl!  She loved every moment of living on that island and never let being an American or not speaking the language hinder her in the slightest! She figured out how to work everything! She was calling and texting on her cell phone with no english directions in zero time flat and earned money to buy her soft phone cards to keep her phone running!  she even figured out how the Okinawan's saved money on their phone plans by paying a certain fee each month for unlimited texting!!!
She has always been fun to photograph!

One of my favorites of her on the beach on a cool Fall day.....Vicki with Ryan and Ty on the USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor Hawaii, sticky pictures with me, and a cute photo of her in her cammie skirt with her Daddy who came straight from work to be at her Great to be Eight night.

Ajaye turned his paper route over to Vicki when their family PCS'd a year before us.  she was happy about making the money.....but NOT thrilled with the work! Vicki with her besties in the neighborhood at the Okinawa Beach Tower Spa, living in beanies when the temps dropped below 80-that was considered cold on Okinawa, Vixster was wearing a sock bun back when you used a SOCK and waaaaay before it became a fashion statement! A female Marine lived next to us and she would do Vicki's hair early in the morning before she left for work until Vicki learned how to do it herself, fun poses at the wax muesem in LA, and of course this one of a kind girl played TACKLE FOOTBALL her freshman year for rec and was the only girl! She played hard and was quite impressive with her dedication and no fear attitude!

Vicki had figured out where the sticky machines were and how to operate them far before i even knew they existed!  I loved having her with me as she knew how to navigate thru the Konji as NOTHING was in English!!! She and her friends had fun doing Sticky Pixs and there was always a cute one on her phone!

Vicki and her Dad playing one of the games at an Arcade in an Okinawa Mall, Vicki and i at the Spa, asilly Vicki face at the beach in So Cal during Christmas Break in 2011, and coming out of the movies one night on New River to see it had snowed for the last couple of hours while we were watching Avatar in February 2010. During the movie her phone had been blowing up with everyone saying it was snowing, we had thought it was just little snowflakes, we were quite surprised to to see several inches had fallen!  The Marines who came out of the theater of course had a spontanious snowball fight that we all watched and laughed with them as we headed to the jeep.  Thank goodness i drove a Jeep Commander as i am not a snow driver, especially after having just come back from 6 years living on a tropical island!!!

It has been a fun 17 years with this crazy girl! I blew up her wall on Facebook with all these collages of random moments in time over the last 17 years.  She was busy at Disneyland having a fantabulous time! I still can't beleive she is 17 and done with High School!!! Her childhood flew by in a flash! I'm so glad we played hard and i was able to be home when she was little and not have to work.  I worked part time until she was 18 months, Monday thru Friday 9am until noon.  Than i was able to stay home with her until she was in 5th grade and i began working as a TI for her school, so i got to walk to and from school with her and her little brothers and only worked when she was at school.  When she went into 6th grade i was moved to the High School, so we walked out the door together but she walked straight to Zukeran which we could see from our house and i turned left on our walkway and crossed the street to Kubasaki High School which we could also see from our house! I am sooo glad i was able to spend sooo much time with her during her childhood. She has been gone all summer at her Aunt Wendy's and she calls me atleast 10 times a day and who knows how many texts!!!  I'm glad she loves me because i love that crazy girl more than she will EVER know!!!

Vicki Goes To Disneyland!

Vicki had a great day at Disneyland for her birthday!!!  They rode all the rides on Fast Track so they never had to wait in lines and were able to ride everything instead of waiting endlessly in the long summer lines!

The Wishing Well

The Disneyland Peeps were awesome and everywhere she went an employee would pin her and wish her a Happy Birthday! She was quite spoiled and will never forget turning 17!!!
