Freckle Conversation

Ryan:

Sometimes I think my freckles are moving! Every day I think there is a new freckle coming or one disappearing.

Ty:

I used to have freckles but now they are gone....I used up have blonde hair now it's brown....my eyes used to turn green and now they are permanantly blue...

The Dude in Cammies comes home tonight, i think.....i haven't heard from him since Kuwait and he still had to go thru Bahrain and Paris before hitting Atlanta and finally to us....so just in case i went ahead and cut the grass today. I did the back and Ty did the front. The backyard is a killer work out! It took a little over 2 hours in that heat and humidity but i don't want my love having to do ANY work while he is on his R&R!!! I want his 15 days to be just Rest & Relaxation and lots of PLAYING!!!!

Driving & Discussing Our Summer Reads

We were driving in the car discussing the books we're reading and mine is a Civil War one and I was telling the boys how amazed I was on the North baking and shipping 60,000 loaves of bread to the battlefields every day back than and one of them chirps back "and it's just as amazing how your high tech kitchen can't even bake one loaf!" Than Ryan begins telling us about an old book of Ty's he's reading about Tim Tebow and how his family is just like ours and that they pray together and read scriptures together and go to church and he's telling us all these things Tim has done growing up and what a great guy he seems to be and Ty says, "That's because he knows that football is just a game Ryan. He knows the real meaning of life, why we are here and the end game! he knows what we should be doing. Read on little brother. It's an awesome book!" And than Ty begins telling us about this outbreak of Anthrax in Russia back in 1979 when a lab had an explosion that released the anthrax spores because they were doing some illegal experiments totally violating the international weapons treaty and Frank Dux (he's one of Ty's favorite spy's and he is currently reading The Secret Man, he's read all the sniper autobiographies that were on his list this summer and has moved on to Spy's/CIA peeps) and that the government hid everything from the people of what had happened even though almost 100 were killed and thousands sickened and all livestock destroyed within 50 km and the people didn't find out until years later!!! A technician at the lab disappeared following the explosion and also a supply of the anthrax. The Russians were hoping he was one of our spies but he wasn't and we had just killed one of their KGB agents and captured another and so kept it quiet in America to not embarrass the Soviets and return the body and other KGB guy in return for our guy to help the KGB find the technician with the Anthrax!" And than he stops and I'm like AND?!!!! Ty's like Mom, that's where I stopped!!! I'm like well you need to hurry and read and tell me what happens! He laughs and says, "Mom, it was in 1979, before I was even born!!! But I think they will go to Syria...." I think he has the more exciting book!!! Lol

Purple Heart Day

Shark Week Frenzy

Went to Cold Stone and had my Shark Week Frenzy. I prefer my chocolate creations but it was fun to get this. Ryan got his normal, Mint Mint Chocolate Chocolate Chip!

Ryan Does Dishes!

Ryan came up to me and asked if he could do the dishes. I looked up at him and sadly wondered what happened? Last time the boys asked to take over the bathroom I was cleaning the doorbell rang with a neighbor and a golf ball....but Ryan said he just wanted to do them and all the dishes were from him and Ty and their friends, they were eating left over birthday cake last night, and I didn't have to show him how he's seen Victoria Kretschmer and I do this for years!!!! Looks like I just need to tell him to turn the cups upside down! :) 👏

Big Girls Want To Feel Pretty Too!!!

Sooo frustrating!!! Buying a dog collar for a girl dog is just like bra shopping!!! The peeps that design things for big girls think we don't like pretty things if we are big.....you can always find pretty and lacy bras if you have no boobs, but if you have boobs almost impossible to find anything in a print or lace....same for dogs!!! I can find cute collars for Bella but NEVER for Leah!!! Makes me soooo mad!!!! Why do the designers think that a big girl dog wouldn't want to have sparklies around her neck like a little dog?!!!!

Ryan's 12th Birthday Party

We celebrated Ryan's 12th Birthday today with his neighborhood friends. His party started at noon and went until 9!!!! They did lots of shooting, lots of Xboxing, lots of Rock Banding, Lots of Boxing, Shark Weeking with Megalodon, and finishing the night with Man Hunt! They had a great time! It was TJ's last day in the neighborhood. Their house got finished packing out and they are off to Germany. It was nice he got to spend his last day with his buddies.
